Daisy

Rescue Dog Extraordinaire!

What can I say about this dog. The most challenging, endearing, bundle of problems that ever entered our lives. She has touched my heart like no other and my love for her goes so deep that it is hard to explain. She had so many internal scars and deeply seeded issues that her life with us was a challenge, yet it was a wonderful experience and a blessing to have her. I can't even begin to explain how unbelievably excepting our other dogs were of Daisy. They gave her the space she needed and seemed to have known that her past was a sad one. The bonds that were build with both 4 legged and human with this dog was simply amazing and something I will never forget (I even have her tattoo'd on my arm!) We will always try to have a senior rescue dog in our pack - or at least a dog that needs our help, like our Bixby. Puppies are fun and you certainly know what you are getting into when you buy from a reputable breeder, but for anyone who has the experience and ability, please consider rescuing a dog who needs it. Having Daisy was hard and challenging, but the feeling I have from helping this old girl and giving her a loving family is immeasurable. She has touched my soul like no other.

Daisy was an elderly basset hound who came to us in August of 2020. Her owner's decided to bring Daisy to the Philadelphia Animal Control because she was "old and sick". Daisy was extremely sick and needed a lot of TLC.
